Wedding reception can be a disastrous if not well planned. Here i would to share with you guys my experience what can happen during your reception. More like expect the unexpected :D.
First things first, i want to say sorry if my english is not very good or my grammar oftenly mistaken. At first i want to use bahasa, but i think it would be nice if people from other region can understand our culture. So i choose english to make it more easier to be understand.
Ok.
Tips 1.
Do not hold your phone during your wedding. Find someone that can answer the phone if friends wants to come to your wedding but get lost on the way. You dont have to worry about answering or texting. It would be much better that you concentrate on smiling during the wedding.
Tips 2.
The Pelamin. The main stage for the bride & groom. So it have to be beautiful, not plain. One other thing, make sure u know where the pelamin will be put at your house. Measure the scale of the pelamin so that it would fit perfectly. Some weddding that i have been, the scale of the pelamin did not match with the size of the place to put the pelamin. Problem huh?
Tips 3.
A coordinator. a stage manager or whatever you called it. Find someone that can keep up with the flow of the reception. He/ She will be the person that in charge on the flow of the wedding. Actually ' Mak Andam ' are the one who are in charge but if she / he is not around, you can count on the coordinator. A bit like wedding planner i say.
Tips 4.
Malam berinai. I think its not necessary to held a malam berinai before the wedding. Bride & Groom needs their rest before the wedding so why put so many event la. I am not being rebel here. I know its been on our custom for so many decade, i just feel its not necessary.
Tips 5.
Make up should make the bride more beautiful not hidious like Gaga. Ask your Mak Andam to test the make up first before your wedding. I mean like a week before the wedding. By doing this you know what to expect during your wedding :D
Tips 6.
I encourage brides & grooms to be, when hiring a photographer find someone that you can work with. Do some research first. Problems is many bride & grooms are prefering to find a photographer that had a cheaper package. They not prefer on finding photographer with good quality wedding photography. And with that, you know what to expect on the end product.
Well, i hope you guys understand what i am trying to say here. Prepare well for you wedding. There are may tips on internet that you can find, i just share what i experienced :). Bye!
